AMBIGA

1. Saidina Ali berkata: "Janganlah melihat kepada sesiapa yang berkata, lihatlah kepada apa yang dikatakan".

2. If there is a robber, he speaks about the danger of bribery. Is he not correct? Should we support him for going against bribery? or should we ignore the calls for war on bribery because he is a robber? or maybe we can support him for going against bribery and at the same time, provide him with kind word, counseling and “nasihat” on his robbery crime. isn't it a more rational way? you get the analogy? (yeah, I know, robbery and bribery kind of same but please take the analogy)

3. Yes, ambiga did defend lina joy and challenging our religion. but then, how about this; when the day of judgement finally arrive, she told God Almighty that no one, NO ONE ever explain to her about ISLAM. NO ONE try to berdakwah to her, to correct her. How about we take the responsibility to berdakwah to her. Be patient. Get close to her. Is it wrong? Should we just let her be in "jahiliyyah" and "kesesatan"? Is it fair for her and us? Bukan kah tanggung jawab kita to spread the kind word of Islam?

4. Who are you to judge her? Can you tell me that the hell fire is the righteous place for her? Can you confirm that you will die in Islam? Of course you can't for either! How about if Allah chooses her to get Hidayah before she dies, maybe tomorrow, maybe next year or maybe later? Maybe she will become the better Muslim than most of us. Who can tell? Take these Sirah story for instance (please do your own research should you want to know more):

A. Saidina Umar story, before he embrace Islam, he is very hostile towards Muslim and even there are story about him (although there are argument on the story) burying his daughter alive. But, after he embrace Islam, he even become 1 of 10 sahabat promised for heaven and not to mention the 2nd Khalifah with a lot of initiative under his administration.

B Now we look at Hendon. She even eat the heart of Saidina Hamzah before she embrace Islam.

C. Then we take lesson from the story of Suraqah, who even try to kill The Prophet during Hijrah for the sake of reward before finally he converts to Islam.

5. Let us go back to today after we take a stroll on stories about 1400 years ago. Islam is very much a very peaceful religion and also the “Syumul” religion that cover all aspects of life. Then again, after 50 years of leading our nation, why the non Muslims can even challenges and intervenes in Muslim matter. There must be flaw in our judiciary and syariah system. Who to be blame? Doesn’t this responsibility and  “kewajipan” fall under the government? If the 50 years old government since day one, respecting and embracing the “Perlembagaan” that stated “Islam as the official religion”, I believe this intervention from non Muslim didn’t happen in the first place. If our Law is govern by Islamic Law as the highest law, like I said, this “challenging thing” will not even happen! Think harder and think deeper.

6. In relation to point 5, kafir yang mahukan Islam adalah kafir zimmi, hak2nya hendaklah dipelihara. If the non Muslim respect our “Perlembagaan” that mean they does respect Islam. Kafir yang tolak Islam, kafir harbi, darahnya halal. Tapi kita kena terangkan dulu everything, give time, if they still declare war on Islam, then we WAJIB take them down. How about Muslim that denies Islamic system as the best system? They can be considered as “munafik” even worse sometime can jatuh syahadah or murtad. Nauzubillah.

7. As Ambiga is leading something positive, good, relevant and most important thing, aligned with Islamic teaching that is just and also protecting our right in ensuring freer and fairer election, I can’t see why we should not support. If she is crusading the Muslim, I will take different stand. Please do make your own research on the back ground of the rest of the steering committee team especially on Zaid Kamaruddin.

The Steering Committee members of BERSIH 2.0 are as follows:
Dato’ Ambiga Sreenevasan, Chairperson
Andrew Khoo
Arumugam K.
Farouk Musa

BERSIH

1. Let me start with 8 BERSIH demand:
  1. BERSIHkan Senarai Undi (Daftar Pemilih)
  2. Reformasikan Undi Pos
  3. Gunakan Dakwat Kekal
  4. Akses Media Yang Bebas & Adil
  5. Tempoh Berkempen Minima 21 Hari
  6. Kukuhkan Institusi Awam
  7. Hentikan Rasuah
  8. Hentikan Politik Kotor
2. Before I go further and deeper, to all matured reader, I respect your opinion hence I'm expecting you to respect mine. I do cherish and celebrate difference cause that whats make us human being unique. You are more than welcome to provide your view and  comment. Hopefully by having healthy discussion, all of us will benefit from it.

3. Please also do note that it is not my intention to "convert" anyone belief nor condemning others opinion and belittle their intelligent. This note is just for me expressing my view and explaining it to the world.

4. It is not so much why I support BERSIH, it is more to why shouldn't I?

5. As a Muslim "BERSIH sebahagian daripada Iman". Right? ;)

6. Referring to my no 1 point, I do believe if we have a totally free and fair election, the people will have the absolute power and the leader will be on their toes not to abuse their power. We can ensure corrupt leader can be unseated easily.

7. I can't see any harm for the SPR and the government to implement those demand and it is not impossible to execute either. I can only see the tremendous benefits for us the people.

8. Then, why are they afraid to let the improvement happen? As the electoral system develop by human being it surely is not free from flaws. We the people see this and wanted to improve and ensure our voice and choices will be counted fairly without any manipulation. We should also be able to make the choices freely and under well informed information and knowledge society thru mainstream media.

9. Many are sceptical and among their view are in following point.

10. "If the electoral system is berat sebelah, how come PR take over 4 state in 2008 election and retain Kelantan for the last 20 years!"
My response: Base on calculation, Japanese government already build a high wall at their coastal area to avoid disastrous impact and flooding in case tsunami hit them. But then, what happen when tsunami hit them, they are still badly effected. The wall that they build does help them to certain extend. I deeply feel sorry for them. This is an analogy to what is happening here in Malaysia. I guess it does make sense.

11. "Its just perception, we the people are being manipulated emtionally by certain party to believe there are flaws in our system"
My response: Perception does not built on nothing. It does built on something. Something that make sense. The people are not dumb to be played. Read back the 8 demand and one of them is free and fair access to mainstream media. Anyone agree that this is bullshit? Anyone agree that both side given equal oppurtunity during last election? If you don't agree, it is another reason to support BERSIH. In 2008 election, without the mainstream media, PR won 5 state. What happen when they are given equal chance to flow in the mainstream media? Freedon of information.

12. "Yes, the demand is valid, but do we really need to march? There is no benefit at all! Common, sit down and discuss peacefully"
My response: I take anology of situation in a classroom, where the teacher ask the student to vote for ketua kelas, all the student cast their vote for their fav person mr. A. But then, mr. B and his 5 friends are closer with the teacher. When the poll result out, mr. B win! This come to a surprise to everyone. All of them lodge complaint to the teacher. The teacher dismiss all the allegation and didn't even bother to hear them. One day during assembly, all the student from the class went up to stage and meet the principal complaining the situation in front of everyone. You guess what happen? Isn't it impactful way to voice out our concern?

13. Now I take BERSIH, not in any way they are threating others or declaring war against anyone. They are just people demanding more action for a freeer and fairer election.

14. But then again why are their intention are painted black and red? Why are the police are seen not independent and taking action according to their liking? Are we fast transforming into police state? Why are the one that chanting racist remark, raging war, hungry for blood, threating others are left free without any action nor warning.

15. Idle scenario: BERSIH wanted to organize peacefull rally in the heart of KL, the police said, OK, we will issue you permit and help you to gather and march to see the king. You must disperse after you have sent the memorandum to the king. However if there is any violence we wont hestiate to take action against you. It is possible to have this scenario in actual Malaysia provided the police does not have any political master or interest. Everything will be much simpler.

16. I wish police are this serious to do crackdown on drug or robber but not on people choose to support peaceful yellow. But then, pity, I feel that they are like a tool for the government to keep in power by harassing and intimidating innocent people.

17. If other group want to rally supporting the SPR or gov, please do so on other day. We should always cherish our difference, liberty and freedom. Everyone should not be afraid to voice their opinion and they should always be supported as long as they are peaceful.

18. On road closing, tourism industry, taxi driver and peniaga. My stand is that this event will benefits them in a lot of ways! The world can see how mature Malaysian are.

19. All in all, to have a chance to choose our gov in a free and fair election is what we all wish for right?! Phewww. I'm tired already. This could go on and like a never ending story.

20. I wish I have played my part and role within the limited space available and with all my might like the bird trying to put out fire for the prophet Ibrahim. It is not the result. Its the effort that count.

21. Watch V for Vendetta if you still didn't get what I meant.
